“You can’t yet know how your life will change when you do this? Could you begin to see, begin to imagine, how different you may feel if you did decide to carry this process out? What if you were to reflect on do this process daily? You can’t yet imagine the benefits.
You only discover the benefits after you make the practice the habit. The benefits aren’t hidden. Anyone who does this routinely could tell you what they are and how your life will improve. BUT you need to actually do the process to experience the benefits.
So you can’t yet fully know how wonderful your life could become until you begin and follow through for a while. Do you understand this? However, if you create the possibility you will be better off for doing it, and you then it as a result, you are on your way to knowing.
You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know – Can’t See Around Corner
What if you were to reflect on all the positive moments of your day before you go to bed? What if throughout the day you stored and accentuated all the positive moments. You ignored and let go of the less than glorious ones, but stored and savored the good moments.
Imagine only thinking about all the good stuff. The positive stuff when you can throughout each day? What do you suppose that would be like? Stop, and consider this for a moment. Really think on it. Feel it Notice how it feels. It makes a difference.
Consider how your life will improve when you build a collection of things you feel really grateful for and positive about. Imagine how it can be different. That would be worth doing, wouldn’t it? All you have to do is think about 25 things you feel grateful for.
Skill Comes From Doing – To Know And Not Do Is To Not Know
Prior to going to sleep. Write them down, make that list, think about these. Feel the gratitude. I mentioned in a previous post that your energy flows where your attention goes. This is important to remember. What you focus on is what you get.
What you pay attention to, and accentuate, actually enlarges and expands. It gets bigger or more prominent. It becomes a larger part of us. We spend more time with it. So be choosy. Be wise. Select only the best things, the best moments, to savor and attend to.
When you focus your attention on appreciation and gratitude your energy concentrates there, and you get back more of the same. Your ability to find things to appreciate increases AS does your ability to appreciate increase. You begin to feel more grateful.
Awareness – Attention – Appreciation – Attitude – Abundance
You begin to feel more wonderful more of the time. Isn’t that something you would like? Yes, you may not yet be able to know how incredible this will be. But entertain this notion. Attempt to realize how much more enjoyable life would be if the bulk of your time was spent delighting in things you appreciate and value? If most of your thoughts were along these lines, positive, happy, and grateful wouldn’t you like it that much more? I think, just maybe, yes. Do it and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
