So Much Confusion Over The “Money Is The Root Of All Evil” Misquote!

“Today, let’s explore the notion of money and the love of money. Some people get upset whenever there is a discussion about money so it is important to clear the air as much as possible. I’ll quote from the original King James Version since that’s the oldest we have.

It’s not the original text but the most misunderstood and misapplied quote. ‘For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.’ 1 Timothy 6:10

In fact, let’s add context: ‘⁷For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. ⁸And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. ⁹But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.’

Change Your Thoughts To Transform Your Life

^’10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. ¹¹But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.’

We come into the world with nothing and leave with nothing. Let’s be content with what we have BUT some fall into temptation. This is important. It is not about the ‘item’ but about those who fall into temptation and lust. ‘For the love of money…” Lusting after money.

It goes on to use the word ‘covet’ which is mentioned in the 10 commandments. ‘Thou shalt not covet.’ A definition of covet reveals it is ‘to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others: to covet another’s property.’ Get this. It’s not about the $$$.

You Must Change Your Thoughts To Transform Your Life

NOTICE the quote is, For the love of money is the root of all evil… it is not, money is the root of all evil. The quote is not at all about money. It is about how we think about it, lust after it, covet it and hoard it. ‘THEY have erred from faith…’ They erred, NOT money.

Money is energy. It’s a means of value exchange and a reflection of your creativity and ability to circulate energy. There is nothing good nor bad about money any more than there is good or bad about a hammer, a car, or a piece of toast. It’s your thoughts about money!

Your thoughts may be on or off-target. Coveting money is the issue. Lusting after another’s money is the issue. Not money! Money does nothing by itself any more than a hammer or toast does anything by itself. It is the human who needs to check motives. Stop coveting!

Stop Struggling! Change Your Thoughts And Everything Changes

It’s the mindset about money that’s the issue. Money is a means of exchange in this world. Jesus used it. God of the Bible used it. In fact, it is said God shall prosper us and help us live abundantly in all ways, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing. It’s promised!

Realize too, there was a concerted push by the early church who required money for penance, to get days off of purgatory and to brainwash the populace that their money was not to be saved and used by them, but given to the church. Look up the church history!

The scriptures were said to be too lofty for the common person. Only a bishop or priest could interpret ‘god’s word.’ We’ve been misled for centuries by the ruling classes about money, faith and so much more, in a concerted effort to control the masses. Get this!

Do Nothing – Nothing Changes | Do This – Everything Changes

We’ve been inculcated that money is bad and the root of all evil. Nothing is further from the truth. It is the coveting, the lusting, of money that’s the issue. We can have a healthy relationship with money as Jesus and others have had. It is promised in the Bible.

It’s time to adjust your thinking. If you want something another has, that is wrong. You can have yours, without denying another theirs. End this zero-sum thinking that in order to win another must lose. Stop that and Shift! A rising tide floats everyone in the boat.

This IS what Jesus taught. He said, ‘love one another as I have loved you.’ Take care of each other. When you do, and you live in godly pursuit, all good things are yours. Not only will your needs be taken care of but you will prosper and live abundantly! BUT HOW?

Act Today And Everything Can Begin Changing Today

By developing the correct mindset and heart. We must get our thinking right, our hearts and spirit right. Then he prepares for us a banquet, anoints us with oil and leads us to green pastures. We are stewards of the world and each other. The better we take care of all of it, the better we all are in every way! Get this. Learn to think differently and prosper. Learn to be grateful, loving, caring and everything transforms. Learn to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

The Magic Number 1700 And You: Do It Or Lose It

“Whether money is important to you or not this number ought to tell you something important. Every day someone gets wealthier. Fortune magazine reports at least 1700 people become millionaires in the United States every day. How are those people doing this?

First, it tells you it is possible. Something else interesting is that a million isn’t as rich as it once was but it’s better off than being broke. Whether it’s greater wealth you want, more happiness, improved relationships or a nicer place to live, all of it’s possible and doable.

Why? How? Many people struggle to make ends meet. Many live paycheck to paycheck. Some are only one problem or illness from meeting their rent or mortgage payments. There are poor in cash and poor in spirit, BUT there’s good news for both. Seriously!

The gap between the rich and poor widens, but there are still those who are able to break away from circumstances and move forward as they want. There are those succeeding in wealth, better health and happiness. If you’re not, then you really want to pay attention.

Those who are creating greater good and wealth for themselves and their families have trained their brains to think differently from those who are not. How far you go depends on how your brain is trained and conditioned to see and imagine the pathway. Seriously!

Those who stay stuck are those who think differently from those who are successful and happy. Sadly, many will never think like a happy person or a millionaire. They are likely to never become one. Change your thoughts and you transform your life. Seriously!

I’ve shared with you, my readers, for many years in my programs, books and this blog what to do and how to do it. If you don’t and you remain stuck, or if life isn’t everything you want it to be, I encourage you to stop reading and start applying what you’ve read. Get this!

If all you do is read and gain information but don’t put it to work for you, nothing changes. ONLY applied knowledge becomes power. Those who manifest good for themselves are doing something those who don’t, aren’t doing. You can’t keep doing the same old way.

When You Allow Others To Do This You And They Benefit

“By allowing others to be who they are, you are freer to be who you are. Isn’t freedom what you really want anyway? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be free to be who you are and to enjoy what you want when you want to? Well, others want the same. Think win/win!

Positive energy is infectious to other positive people. It can be uplifting for those who need a lift. People who don’t resonate with you may choose not to be around one who feels so good. That is okay. You always attract the right people good or ‘bad.’ Allow for it.

Those you want to attract may just need some extra time to come around. Don’t be evangelical about anything. Don’t insist others change. Simply accept them. Allow for anything and everything. Allow each person to be who they are without judging them.

This Is Why You’re Not Getting What You Want Right Now

“When you are feeling optimal you WILL be radiating it. You will be putting it out there. We are always radiating what is going on inside of us. We are always broadcasting our thoughts and feelings and attracting more of the same. We can’t NOT be putting it out there.

We are ALWAYS putting it out there. This is WHY it is CRITICAL to choose the best thoughts and feelings so that you start attracting back the best thoughts and feelings. If you think you want something you are attracting more wanting. If you notice you don’t have it yet.

You are attracting and creating more not having it yet. In order to have it, you must already feel as though you have it. Imagine wearing a blue shirt looking into the mirror wishing you were wearing a red shirt. The mirror is only going to reflect blue back to you! Why?

It’s Time To Change Your Thoughts And Transform Your Life

Because that is what is presently going on! You must live from the ‘wish already fulfilled.’ You must imagine yourself wearing a red shirt already, so the mirror reflects that back. Then, once you understand this, the shirt can show up in our 3-dimensional world. Not until.

We only always attract just as gravity only always attracts. This is the reason why we CHOOSE to think and feel positive. This is why if you are not happy with the results you have been getting you must change what you are doing inside. You get what you are putting out!

You must not feel desperate or needy. You must ignore the gap between what you want and its absence and live as if you already have it in your imagination. Otherwise, you get back more desperation and neediness. It is important to understand this!

Many don’t so they are confused as to why they aren’t getting everything they want. In order to get what you want on the outside, you first must create it on the inside. You must plant what you want. Then nurture it along in order to harvest it at the right time. Get it?

“Choose your friends and associates wisely whenever you can. There is no need to put down or ostracize anyone. If you are really a positive person you won’t be bothered by someone who is not. It is just not the way you choose to be. Let them be. Hang with others.

You don’t have to flee from negative people when you are powerful. You just don’t let their negativity affect you. Simply choose to spend most of your time with other positive, powerful, lovers of life when you’re able. This is time very well spent. It adds great value to you!

Consider this. Enlightened people, Buddha, Jesus, and others, old and current, spend their lives surrounded by unenlightened people all the time. They just don’t let it bother them. Remember, you perpetuate and expand what you focus on. Stop worrying about it.

It Is Incorrect To Work Harder And Take Massive Action

“It’s not work harder and take massive action. That is wrong except in rare cases. It’s work smarter and take daily steps to accomplishing your goal that gets you the furthest, fastest. You may have noticed a theme in the past few blog posts. Yes, it’s an important one!

It’s because this topic is so very important when it comes to your success and happiness. Aligning with high-vibe, like-minded associates, partners, customers, and clients to contribute to and be contributed to is paramount to successful ventures. It’s a huge part!

Plus, it’s exciting to discover others in the world who think and feel the same. It is thrilling to align with them and create new good possibilities working together. You are able to create bigger and reach further faster than traveling the pathways alone. Get this!

How To Create Rapport And Develop Positive Relationships

When you radiate positivity you are able to attract people to you who have like desires in mind. When you find good people who are all aimed at creating the same outcome it is the basis and potential beginning of a powerful mastermind group. True power is in one!

I’m only touching on the notion and importance of a true mastermind briefly for now. We can discuss and explore it further down the road. For now, it should not be lost on you that having wonderful people to associate with is a marvelous opportunity.

It is an incredible world to be positive in and to find other positive people to enjoy. Be choosey. It’s okay to be picky. It is not okay to be snobby. Choose your friends and associates wisely whenever you can but there is no need to put down or ostracize anyone else.

You Get Further Developing Rapport And Positive Relationships

I’ll discuss this further in another blog. I’ll discuss what a real mastermind group is too. It’s not what so many are calling one today. They may be good but there’s a real difference between a mastermind and a group of like-minded people brainstorming.

For now, it is important to ‘vibe-high’ and contribute to others. Add value to them and you’ll get value in return. Stick mostly to the high-vibe, high-quality connections you can make and don’t spend as much time with Debby and Donny Downers. Raise your energy.

You don’t have to cut off all ties or be rude. Just spend more time with positive, uplifting, upbeat people. Spend more time managing your mindset and feelings so you are positive, upbeat and uplifting. When you do this everything in your world begins to change.

How To Go First And Attract The Right People To You

Think and affirm: “I am attracting the exact type of people I want around me. I’m attracting positive, upbeat, uplifting, creative minds who are committed to excellence and making good things happen for all. Together we make good happen for everyone and vibe-high.”

Write your own affirmations and focus on them. The above is just a sample. Frequently, affirm what you want to create. Set your mind on it. Be relentless in focusing on the good you can create! How People Screw Things Up And How To Fix Them

“If you’re ruthless and care little for others or their success you might get somewhere. However, the likelihood you’ll keep it and enjoy it is far less certain. Yes, you may get ahead but at a cost. Those who are ruthless seem to only temporarily succeed, They fall.

To try to succeed by leaving others behind, or stepping on them to get to the top, won’t benefit you in the long run. You’ll get back what you put out. If not at first, eventually. Things take time but it will bite you on the ass. You always get back, in some form, what you put out.

It’s true. The sun shines on the good person and the bad. It rains on both, too. Seek to improve life for everyone and your life will improve much quicker. When you radiate positive thoughts and energy you attract what you need to move forward. Try it. It works.

How To Create Rapport And Develop Positive Relationships

You become a beacon to other like-minded and like-spirited people. You’re magnetically charged to attract the finest. When your thoughts about others are the highest in esteem or the best, you elevate yourself while holding others in high regard. It works.

Give out your best and in doing that, you get back the best in return. Learn to work together collaboratively. Support others. Seek to be one mind and work in harmony. There’s a synergistic effect. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Everyone enjoys success.

People who attract those of like mind and energy can create great things together. None of us succeed all on our own, or by our lonesome. ‘No man is an island.’ Larger positive creations come about from joint ventures and collaborating with the right people.
