“The Chinese Bamboo is a favorite topic of mine. I’ve written on it numerous times here. As readers of my blog, you know it is about personal development, inspiration and gratitude. This tree grows for 5 or more years underground then shoots up 90 ft within 60 days.
The Chinese Bamboo analogy is perfect for describing the process one goes through in becoming a better person, and in accomplishing one’s purpose and achieving one’s goals. You may not see results for a long period of time but everything IS working together. TRUST!
You gotta believe and stay committed even when it appears hopeless. As I have often pointed out, the Wright Brothers didn’t know how to fly until after they flew. Prior to flying they were experimenting to find what, if anything, worked. Get it
You Must Keep The Faith In Spite Of All Odds And Opposition
The same was true of Edison and of Ford. They dreamed of making the world a place lit by electricity and populated by iron horses. Edison, tried 10,000 times without success. Ford pushed his engineers to develop the V8 when they said it was impossible.
Ford pushed them for years! Breakthroughs come when they come. Breakthroughs often come at surprising times, usually not when we expect. Imagine how surprised the first planters of the Chinese Bamboo tree must have been. Imagine what they thought about.
Nothing. No sign of any tree for 5, 6 even 7 years and then suddenly it shoots up 90 feet tall. You know the tree didn’t begin growing 90 feet at the end of 5 years. It was growing invisibly underground all that time. How long do you think it took them to catch on?
You Get What You Focus On – Focus On Attaining Your Dream
If you look at the lack of circumstances or negative circumstances and allow that to contaminate your attitude, feelings or actions you will find that you get poor results. If you throw in the towel you most certainly will not make your dreams come true. You must persist.
The fruits of our mindset, attitude and labor, often are not seen for quite a while. Hang in there. Keep the faith. Stay committed. Don’t doubt. Don’t give up. Things are happening, as long as what you want to accomplish is still being nurtured by you. If you stop nurturing, your dream will certainly die. Persist and you will one day see results. Meanwhile, celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
