Remember, research has confirmed that imagination is a neurological reality that can impact our brains and bodies in ways that matter for our wellbeing,” said Dr.Tor Wager, director of the Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Laboratory at CU Boulder and co-senior author of the paper, published in the journal Neuron. We can learn new things, improve performance and resolve difficulties…
Get this. When you correctly repeat a thought, feeling or behavior, frequently and consistently for a long enough period you can master any skill and remove any limitation. Imagine doing this for yourself. Expose yourself to the fear and you can overcome it. Expose yourself to the possibility and you can make it a reality. You can take charge of your mind and emotions and live as you want. So…
I’m not going to recount the study particulars here. I’ll leave you to investigate that if you wish. Suffice to say researchers measured brain activity using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). “Statistically, real and imagined exposure to the threat were not different at the whole brain level, and imagination worked just as well,” Reddan reported. There is another perk to the research.
Wager posited. ‘I think a lot of people assume that the way to reduce fear or negative emotion is to imagine something good. In fact, what might be more effective is exactly the opposite: imagining the threat, but without the negative consequences.’ Get that. See the issue but without the negative consequences. If you hold the image of confidently encountering the source, that may be enough.
Prior research demonstrated that you could activate and strengthen regions of the brain involved in its real-life execution and improve performance by imagining the act. Athletes and actors have known this forever. Still, research validates what we already knew and adds new explanations for why it works. This means if you believe it inside you can make all sorts of positive changes! Get it.
There are studies showing that imagining weightlifting can increase performance and muscle size. Imagining shooting buckets can increase the number of buckets made. Imagining playing piano results in increased performance. WHY? Because it enhances or increases the neuronal connections in regions related to the task performed. I mean really get this. Use your imagination productively.
This recent study points out that imagination may be a much more powerful tool than believed previously. We can use it to update and transform memories. You can change past limitations and problems that have plagued you. You can extract learning, add in resources, insert new details that change them. We know this and do it using NLP! It is possible to update your memories.
You can insert new details! GET THIS! I’ve been saying this for over 40 years. Neuroscience is catching up! Tor Wagner emphasizes, ‘Manage your imagination and what you permit yourself to imagine. You can use imagination constructively to shape what your brain learns from experience.’ Sound familiar? Manage your mindset. Create what you want. Set intentions. Use imagination!
Marianne Reddan adds, ‘If you’ve a memory that is no longer useful for you or is crippling you, you can use imagination to tap into it, change it and re-consolidate it, updating the way you think about and experience something.’ I am so happy to report validation for what we’ve known for so long. This is exciting confirmation. Some people need this kind of evidence before they act. We have it.
She continues to elaborate stating there was much more variance in the brain activity of the group that used imagination versus the ones who experienced it. This suggests that those with a more vivid imagination may experience greater brain changes when simulating something in their mind’s eye. Surely, this means you want to develop your ability to imagine more fully and realistically.
You can change past difficulties into resources, eliminate worry, fear and phobias. You can rehearse and wire in behaviors you’d like to have; be more confident, public speaking, athletic ability, piano playing, sculpting your body and much more. Using imagination you can resolve past difficulties, learn new things, enhance what you already do and transform powerfully! Worth it? I think so!
It is worth repeating. Dr. Wager recommends you pay attention to what you imagine. ‘Manage your imagination and what you permit yourself to imagine. You can use imagination constructively to shape what your brain learns from experience.’ As I always say, your choice, dog shit or diamonds. Choose where you put your attention. Energy flows where your attention goes. Get this.
Some people mentally rehearse failure, procrastination, poverty, conflict, sadness, fear, worry, doubt, anger, poor mental and physical health and more. They do it from habit. Perhaps, you do it. Manage your mindset. Manage your imagination. Rehearse mentally what you want, what you can be, do and have. Stop imagining what you don’t want. It’s your brain. Use it to serve you.
It is an incredible servant when you manage it. Science validates this. It’s a horrible master when you let it run you. Stop letting it do its thing from prior conditioning and change your thoughts and transform your life. Take charge. I show you how in my experiential programs, my book and the Attitude Activator™ You know the saying, ‘You can lead a horse to water, but you can make it drink.’ and ‘You can’t save a fool from himself.’ Choose diamonds. Take charge. Learn to direct your mind and imagination to live life on your terms. Create the life you want. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“I’ll be blunt: I’m very disappointed that these secrets are available. I think buying this material should be treated like buying hand guns: You should have to fill out forms and get checked out first to see if you’ll use this wisdom for good or evil. I’ve NEVER seen such powerful techniques or insights. The average psychologist, cold reader, magician, or mentalist doesn’t know these “beyond secret” methods. You could start a cult with this! Far too powerful to be released publicly. Please take your Ultimate NLP Home Study Program package off the market—especially now that I own it.” –Joe Vitale – Author, 2000
“I am smiling and my heart is beating a little bit faster now, Rex. We go all the way back to the last century and me finding my way in many ways at that point. You helped me during that point because I learned NLP, and some of the communication material came from you. I was sitting at your feet and learning how to apply it in my life and career.
Freedom can be yours BUT if you do nothing, nothing changes!
You sent me cassettes Rex way back in the 1990s, and these were cassettes on communication and NLP. And we had exchanged some things and we had talked and you were very kind to me and very generous with me. I religiously listened to everything I am always studying, always growing, always working on myself and maybe even more intensely back then. Thank you Rex!Joe Vitale -Author, appeared in ‘The Secret’, 2022

“I give this course a massive thumbs up! And to put it into perspective I was already an NLP trainer when I came across this course some years back and I was blown away by the content in it and the way it is taught. Rex really knows his stuff and the content is amazing. But it! I mean every word.” Barry Neale – NLP trainer 2021
“My personal development journey took a turn for the better back in 1996 when I was fortunate enough to be trained and mentored by Rex Steven Sikes. It’s been my ongoing wish that Rex would put his personal and professional development insights, his unique accelerated learning techniques, and basic to advanced mindset strategies (what he’s rightfully termed Mind Design™) into a book. He’s finally done it and he’s held nothing back. Rex equips you with everything you need to live a more empowered life… He was the first person to really challenge me with the idea that to change my life, I had to change myself first. His concept of 100% Self-responsibility has served me so much in my life, it’s now the cornerstone of all my training and coaching as well. He states, “When you accept full responsibility for everything going on, you begin to access your inner strengths and power. When you accept responsibility your mind begins to look for solutions because you are responsible.” Bottom line: I’m a better coach, trainer, entrepreneur, husband, and parent because of Rex.”Joe Soto – International Marketing Coach

I’m so happy to have invested into his NLP home study course. Which he has taught many successful people in the past 40 years. Here’s a testimony from Joe Vitale from the movie the secret. If anyone is interested in joining the course. Please feel free to reach out to me.” Lynn Serrano – TV host, 2022
