When the internet began, I wasn’t interested. I preferred the contact of real humans and seminar rooms. Marketing was direct mail. I adapted to email marketing but had no desire to jump on board the internet when my colleagues did. I learned this lesson from experience.

Here’s the takeaway: Don’t get locked into one place or one strategy. Adapt. The more you adjust to the changing tides, the more resilient and successful you’ll be. Your value isn’t just in what you offer today but in how you respond to the future. Seek opportunities! Fish where the fish are biting. If you want to succeed, find out where the real demand is. Be like a fisherman who moves to the part of the lake where fish are jumping.

Go. Move. You need to be where the action is. If your current method or location isn’t yielding results, move. Seek out new opportunities. Look for untapped markets or underserved communities. The best part? New opportunities are always out there, but you must look for them. Keep your ears open, stay flexible, and move quickly when you spot a chance. Don’t be afraid to take risks, but make sure they’re calculated.
