Your mindset or attitude is the number 1 predictor of success in all areas of life. How you think about things determines how you feel and what you do. How you think, feel and do determines the results you get. Fix it from the starting gate by getting your thinking right.

Learn to get over yourself. Stop any wallowing, whining and despair. Drop anxiety, doubt, fear and depression. Let these go. You may not think you can BUT you can. Get on with positive things. Be gentle, accepting and loving of yourself and you will evolve faster.

How to stop bad habits? Novelty. DO something new and different. Do new things. Take some deep breaths. Sing. Shout. Holler. Chant. Cheer. Take a break. Take a walk, Do something! Move, skip, dance, do a little physical activity every day that makes you feel great.

Shake it up! Take a nap. Drink more water. Smile. Laugh. Read or listen to some inspiring material. Hang out with positive people. Repeat new positive and rewarding behaviors. Encourage, reward and repeat the new ones. Diminish the old by not going there.

Don’t engage the pity party. Create a positivity practice and make it the new habit. The key to change is awareness. Notice the trigger for the old. Stop. Breath. Interrupt the pattern. Shake it up. Do something different. Own the change. Engage the new behavior.

Notice it. Own it. Play with it. Appreciate your ability to notice and act in your own best interests. Pat yourself on the back. Stick with it. Keep going. Don’t quit. Repeat the new behavior. Practice it. Be it. In time, you’ll create a new way of being. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
