“You’re not one of those people who waste time and energy worrying about what you can’t do, are you? You will never get rich by focusing on being poor. You won’t feel wealthy or abundant focused on what you don’t have. If you don’t know where you’re headed, you will most likely never get there. Have you considered this? You won’t know what you CAN DO by worrying about what you can’t. Know this!
You won’t get stronger being focused on weakness. You’ll never discover what works by focusing on what doesn’t. You won’t get positive by thinking negative. HOWEVER, there is some use to negative thinking, did you know that? Would you like to learn how to utilize your negative thoughts in positive ways? You can absolutely benefit by making this practice a habit. You can transform yourself! How?
By the renewing of your mind! Whenever you catch yourself thinking about what you don’t like or don’t want you can turn it to your advantage. It requires you to develop some awareness to notice when you are thinking less-than-gloriously. You can use those negative thoughts, the ‘I don’t want’ thoughts to IDENTIFY what it is you DO want. You can use them to create something better for yourself.
First, through awareness you catch yourself when thinking negatively. This a great skill and talent to acquire! Second, you decide to stop thinking negatively when you catch yourself. You notice and acknowledge your awareness. You congratulate yourself for noticing, but not for the negativity. You are grateful for this opportunity to change. Third, you stop the negativity and think of something positive.
It may be the opposite of what you just caught yourself thinking. You shift away from the negative thoughts and into positive thoughts instead. When you become aware that you are negative or focused on what you do not want, THAT’S THE PRECISE MOMENT to say, ‘I know I don’t want this!’ Then ASK YOURSELF, ‘What do I want?’ Focus strongly on what you do want. Clarify and define it. Declare it!
Now you realize you don’t want that. BUT you want this instead. Affirm the positive thought. Create a new positive thought, declaration or affirmation instead. Stop thinking negatively Stop worry, fear, doubt, sadness, anger and hate and start thinking about what you can be, will be and can and will do. From this place of awareness and by changing from negative to positive you can now do something powerful.
You move away from what you do not want and begin moving towards what you do want. NOW instead of thinking about where you DON’T want to end up, you focus on where you want to end up. You know your destination and can travel in that direction. When you know what you don’t want, don’t have or don’t like it can help you get clear, precise, and targeted on what it is you actually do want.
This is great because the more precise you can be the more detail you can add into your mental images of what you DO want the more real it becomes to your subconscious mind. When you stop perpetuating old negative habits of doubt, fear and worry and begin to think, affirm, visualize and FEEL the good, that which you like, enjoy and are grateful for, you train your brain zealously and enthusiastically.
You program and condition or train your subconscious mind to no longer travel those old negative habit pathways but to begin traveling these new, positive, glorious pathways. You trade in the old vehicle for a new, updated glorious vehicle that can take you to where you want to go. Awareness is the first step. Stopping what you were doing and starting to think, feel, speak and behave in the new way is next.
Then, sticking with it is important! Because repetition of the correct thoughts, feelings, speech and behaviors is what creates the new habit. AND YOU WANT THE NEW HABIT, but you won’t get it if you are haphazard or lazy in creating it. Persistence in correct practice for long enough will make the new desired habit automatic and reliable BUT only if you continue consistently until it is wired in. Do it and discover the benefits.
