“One of the surest ways to have happiness and be successful is to develop a pleasing personality and learn to get along with more people. The more people you can include and add value to, the more people who can help you, work with you and connect you up.
Don’t do it to get something in return. Do it for the sake of doing it. Be open. Be generous. Givers get when they give simply give. It comes back to you through free and generous giving. Don’t be attached to giving. Put your attention on them, not on you.
If you’d like respect, give respect first. Listen to learn and understand, not to speak or convince. One of our deepest needs is to feel we are heard. So listen and hear. Go the extra mile. Accept all others. Make new friends with people you might never otherwise.
A stranger is only a friend you haven’t met yet. I discovered this sitting in a mall in my twenties watching people pass each other. I thought, ‘given the proper introduction all these passing strangers could become friends.’ It simply depends on the situation.
Stop noticing skin color, race, nationality, political affiliation, religious orientation, gender presentation and accept people for being people. Spread loving energy. Spread the energy of acceptance and compassion. Seek to build bridges not destroy them. LOVE!
The more you accept, include and expand your horizons the freer and happier you can become. Develop a genuine interest in others. Attempt to learn about another person today. Who is this person? Where did their parents come from? What is important to them?
What do they enjoy? What are they proud of? What dreams fo they have? Become curious. Learn to be fascinated. Expand and include. By including more people in your circle of influence you become richer. Opportunities you might never encounter become available.
