It is Christmas somewhere in the world today. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. Every holiday could be an excuse for family to come together, friends to assemble, and unite in a spirit of fellowship and thanksgiving worldwide, whether you celebrate or not.
Be thankful. Stop and be friendly for a few moments. Forgive anyone and everyone. Stop fighting and look for common ground. If we can agree on what unites us; if we can agree on how we are the same in mind, body and spirit, we can transcend differences and hate.
Look to give love. Look to spread peace. Give, be as generous as you are able. Practice compassion and gratitude. Look for the good in each other and all circumstances. Let’s use every holiday for this purpose. Then maybe we can extend it to other days. Eventually, if we keep spreading, peace, love and compassion to other days we will fill the year with goodness.
