“Many times, people accidentally crash their cars into other cars, people or things because they inadvertently aim at what they hope and need to avoid, instead of aiming somewhere else toward safety. They freeze because they look at and lock their attention on what they don’t want to hit. Then they drive into it. There’s a rule. We tend to go where we look. We follow our eyes. Get this?
In race car driving they teach drivers to ‘look away from the wall’. They’ve drivers practice by going around the course and then driving towards the wall. To not hit the wall, you must force yourself to turn your head away from the wall and look to the area of safety. You must look and aim towards safety which is away from the wall and not at it. This causes the driver to steer toward safety.
Since we move in the direction we look, look away from the wall. It seems counterintuitive but if you don’t want to hit what you’re heading to, look away. Look away and you’ll turn away. Look at the wall or the other car and the tendency is to drive into it. Looking away is a natural avoidance response when we turn away from something repulsive. It takes training to look away from the wall.
DEVELOP THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE, MINDSET AND BELIEFS TO TRANSFORM YOURSELF
If it’s repulsive, as some things are, people quickly turn away. They cover their eyes. They don’t want to see it. AT other times we get fixated on something we don’t want. If it’s repulsive we turn away. If not, we might stare, transfixed, on something we want to avoid. Like a deer in headlights. The wall. In driving it can save a life. In sports it’s ‘find the hole.’ Find the hole and run into it. It’s the opening.
When team players are blocking the key is to look for the hole, where the players aren’t and run to it. Look for the teammate in the open and throw. Again, our actions follow our eyes. If you look at the players blocking you won’t see the hole. You must find the opening. When driving, look away from the object and towards safety. Find the hole where it’s safe to go, look there and you’ll steer to it.
Nothing is guaranteed but drivers are trained because it saves injury and lives. Look away from the wall. Aim towards safety. Drivers don’t develop the skill overnight. It becomes a habit by repeating the correct behavior consistently for long enough to wire it in. It can require rigorous effort to learn to look away. Drivers work to make it a reliable habit, a first response, to survive. A survival habit. YES!!
DEVELOP THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE, MINDSET AND BELIEFS TO TRANSFORM YOURSELF
Aim towards safety by looking away from the wall! Know this for your daily life. We don’t find peace focused on war and violence. We don’t find love looking for hate. We don’t run our brains for success focused on fear and failure. We don’t find happiness complaining about what’s wrong. We don’t find wealth worried about bills and lack. We must turn our attention toward what we want to get.
There is this strange attractor phenomenon. Imagine a football sized field. 100’s of yards long and wide. In the center is a lone telephone pole. Chances are someone running, driving, snowmobiling, WHATEVER, chances are good someone will hit it. It’s a strange attraction.Science provides many reasons, psychological and in physics. One simple answer is it has the highest signal value.
It’s what we notice. What gets our attention, what we focus on, expands. So we are drawn to it. In physics there’re energy answers. Everything is energy so the answer doesn’t matter much. The phenomenon remains. We go where our eyes take us. We go where the energy moves. An object in motion remains in motion unless a larger force acts on it. An object at rest remains at rest unless…
It’s the 3rdLaw of Motion. If you’re on the path to negativity, you need to alter your course. Get it. Apply the force to change direction. How? We must turn our attention and aim at what we want. We must keep our attention there to get it! We must not look at what we don’t want but stay focused on where we want to go. We become what we think about most during the day. It occupies us.
DEVELOP THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE, MINDSET AND BELIEFS TO TRANSFORM YOURSELF
Stay focused on what’s important and not get distracted by events and less-than-glorious results or circumstances. Keep the focus where it needs to be. Remove your focus from what you don’t want. Perhaps, make what you don’t want repulsive for you. It’s not necessary but if it helps you to not get hooked into the very thing you want to change, then that might be an option.
Make hate, harm, violence etc. repulsive. You can do the same with unreasonable fear. What is a reasonable fear? That which keeps you alive. Common sense. Those fears preventing you from being who you are aren’t unreasonable. Those fears or doubts arise as you attempt to change and leave your comfort zone. Those arising to keep you consistent are unreasonable fears.
Learn to move through them because they aren’t real dangers but thoughts of, or psychological and emotional fear. That’s different from your immediate physical safety. Aim towards what you want. Keep your focus there. Do not compare, do not fear, do not doubt, do not keep checking, look away from what you don’t want AND keep your focus on what you want to create for yourself. .
DEVELOP THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE, MINDSET AND BELIEFS TO TRANSFORM YOURSELF
That’s how you get there. Focus on where you want to go, follow through and you’ll end up getting it. Most people create more worry, fear, lack, anger, doubt, and hate. Why? Because what they don’t want occupies their attention, their mind and emotions so they end up producing more of it. Look away from those. Look for the good. Focus on the good feelings. Feel the goodness. Bathe in it.
Focus on love, joy, abundance, peace, kindness, and certainty. Fill your mind and heart with abundant goodness. Get it? Spend time enhancing and emphasizing all the good you can find. Seek the good. Be grateful. Appreciate. What you think about most frequently, intensely, or passionately is what you get and what you become. If you’re not positive, alter course. Don’t do what you always already do.
If you are stuck and not moving, then you need to act on it. Remember, the 3rd law. Become the larger force. Apply right thinking! Move. Don’t do what you always already do. Make your strange attractor that which you want to be, do and have. Stop anything else from being the attractor for what you don’t want. Steer away from the negative and toward the positive.
Make sure you’re focused on what you want and not what you want to avoid. Eliminate the negative. Accentuate the positive. Find the good. Move into the good. What you focus on expands, whether good or bad. FOCUS ON THE GOOD. Remember, what you resist, persists. Don’t fight hate. Instead start loving. Don’t fear lack. Instead embrace abundance. Get it?
