“The great fictional detective Harry Bosch, created by author Michael Connelly is quoted as saying, “I have been like a cork floating in a great wide ocean. Bouncing with the currents, not in control of anything. But now I have an idea.” People live like this. Do you?
Napoleon Hill equated a life without intent or purpose to being a cork floating in the water driven by the currents, living by default. Recognizing when one is drifting is the beginning of the path to purpose and living by intention. You must get clear on purpose.
Know what you want most and why you’re on the planet. Sadly, many people don’t think this deep. Unfortunately, they’re too busy trying to make ends meet, living as a victim of circumstances and cultural conditioning to free themselves from a purposeless life.
Stop Doing What You’ve Always Done To Get Better Results
To claim your life back and begin to live as a victor and create your best life ever takes more than hope and wishes. It takes vision and purpose. Individuals such as Oprah, Edison, Mary Kay Ash, Wright Bros. Madam Curie, Henry Ford, Jobs wanted to change the world.
They imagined a better life for themselves and others. They got clear on who they are, what they want, and what they are meant to do. They committed to making a difference for themselves and others. They did it by persisting through great challenges and obstacles.
They took charge of their mindset and stopped drifting to succeed. They may have begun life that way. Most of us do. But at some time they got ‘an idea’ that they, circumstances and the world could be different if they helped make it so. They acted and followed through.
You Become Unstoppable When You Activate Your Attitude
They became, and remained intent of changing. In doing so they transformed themselves and the world at large. You can too when you get clear, break free of limitations and commit to your passion and purpose. Stop being a victim. Stop tolerating failure and lack.
