“Did you know how you start your day can determine how the rest of your day goes? Many people wake up wrong. What you do in the first few moments is important and sets the tone for all that follows. What you do, and what you don’t do, affects you greatly.
What should you do when you first wake up? Savor the moment. Languish in bed. Meditate. When you first awaken your brainwaves are still in alpha. You aren’t fully awake, yet. Use that time to meditate. Visualize how you’d like your day to go. Imagine it.
Set intentions. Affirm. Exclaim, ‘I love my life.’ Reflect on those you love, feel it, and whom you are grateful for. Practice gratitude. Spend some moments reading or listening to inspirational material. Ease your way up. Smile and laugh for a few minutes. Journal.
You Can’t Escape Your Thoughts – You Go WhereThey Take You
Each of these practices can have a profound effect on how your day begins and follows through. Don’t watch bad news, read email or the paper. Keep your mind positive and optimistic. Focus on what you want not on what you don’t want or what’s upsetting. Celebrate
Don’t get caught up in current events or trauma drama. Perhaps, go for a brief walk or exercise. Eat as you enjoy. Take some water, a cup of tea or coffee, that is up to you. Smell the roses. Look for the good. Direct your heart and your mind. Delight and feel enthused.
Make it a point to begin the day feeling good. Feel the best and most positive and loving as you can. Vibe high. Make these habits and your life will incredibly transform. Add a positive practice weekly or monthly until you are rising and shining! Feel blessed. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
