“Anyone can call oneself anything. Anyone can decide their faith and what they choose to believe. That said, it is what is in the heart that matters. It might also be said it is what is NOT in the heart that matters. the Bible said, ‘by their fruits you will know them.’
That’s a pretty good way to evaluate. Claims don’t make it so. Actions speak louder than words. Does a person walk the walk or only do the talk? If you say one thing but do another, probably whatever you call yourself, isn’t what you are. You’re something else.
I think if you are going to claim to follow Jesus you should do what Jesus would do. Same with Buddha, Lao Tzu, or whomever. If you claim to follow a ‘divinely inspired’ writing your actions should reflect that claim. Don’t you think? If it says love, then love!
Live And Let Live – Give Peace A Chance – Live Love Laugh
If you claim you’re forgiven you then spread around the love and forgiveness. If you say you are awakened and peaceful then live as such. Allow others to live as they do. Jesus said love the sinner hate the sin. Love each other as I have loved you. Might be nice to try it.
Walk the walk if you profess it. Don’t put your light under a bushel let it shine. Really love each other as’ I have loved you’. Jesus fed the multitudes. He demonstrated compassion, forgiveness and sacrifice. Some think his death was the ultimate sacrifice. I think it was his life.
He washed the feet of the disciples, he hung out with prostitutes, sinners, the ill and disabled as well as the wealthy. I think I ought to be able to do the same as best as I am able. I hope others who profess to follow Jesus would feel and do similarly.
Walk The Talk And Walk The Walk – Live Honestly With Integrity
The same goes for whatever ‘religious’ leader you claim to follow. Anyone can hate. That is easy. It is easy to judge, ignoramus’s and dismiss. BUT hate is not the way to live. It doesn’t help us move forward and live better. It keeps us wounded and divided.
Rise higher. Uplift and care for all. Be thy brother’s keeper and help each other be better. Help each other to live better. Help each other to love more. Doing this is its own reward. It is a blessing to contribute, to give, to heal, to help, to love. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
