“Some are waking up to kindness, compassion, collaboration, cooperation, empathy and harmony as a strategy for all to win. The model of crushing the competition to succeed, hoarding the wealth and harming others to be first needs to be replaced. Instead of putting the 10 commandments in public, secular buildings as some insist on doing, how about the Beatitudes? That would make much more sense.
Instead of telling people what not to do. How about we tell them how to behave lovingly instead? How about proposing peace and compassion? How about we focus on uplifting and edifying and helping each other because when we do we are also uplifted and benefit? When we first seek to serve, to love, to help, to be kind and understanding we benefit as well. How about we make it a point for all to benefit without reserve?

shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. 13

those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.’
There are many philosophical texts we could put up in places as reminders. How about? What goes around comes around. Be kind. Love. Accept. Validate. Accept. Include all! Enough with hate, division, competition, harm, anger and violence. Let’s rise higher. Seek better. Make better by being better. Let’s restrain ourselves from throwing stones and spread love and understanding. Let’s be finished with discord and unite around a peaceful, optimistic, positive vision.
