“It seems appropriate at this time of year to discuss vision for the future and the active creation of what one wants. We create or attract whatever we give our focus, attention and energy too. We become what we think about most of the time.
We become what we don’t want if we focus on that most of the time. We create and attract positivity or negativity; increase or decrease. We cannot NOT create or attract. The question is in what direction do we create or attract, positive or negative; wanted or unwanted?
These words of Andrew Carnegie, as recorded by Napoleon Hill, regarding the United States of America are poignant. We can learn much from them. We should contrast what he said about then, to what is going on in our country today.
Where There Is No Vision There Is No Hope
Hill lead with this statement. ‘From what you have said Mr. Carnegie, I understand that when people of a community or a nation begin to think in connection with any definite objective, they soon find a ways and means of attaining it.’ Carnegie replied.
‘That is not only my belief but it is a fact. If the newspapers begin to publish stories about wars, and the people begin to think and talk of war in their daily conversations, they soon find themselves at war. People get that which their minds dwell upon; and this applies to a
group or community or a nation of people, the same as to an individual. One reason why we Americans are the richest and the freest people in the world, and perhaps this is the only reason, is the fact that we think and talk and act in terms of freedom and riches.
Create The Highest Grandest Vision Possible For Your Life
Our nation was literally born of our desire for liberty. Our history books are filled with the spirit of liberty. We have talked of liberty so much we have it in abundance. We shall cease to have it if we stop talking and thinking about it.’
Food for thought. Focus on what we want. Think, speak and act on what we want to create and we can have more of it. Good news! We can do it as individuals or as a group or as a nation. We become what we think about. I suggest gratitude and celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
