“One of the most difficult things we can do is get access to accurate, relevant information in order to make informed decisions. There is a myriad of misinformation and disinformation bombarding us each day. We have a choice to be gullible or to be wise. Did you know this?
We need to vet information coming from all sources to make certain it’s accurate. We need to learn to act on facts rather than from opinion. Most of us act off of opinion without realizing that’s what we’re doing. Especially, if you decide based on listening to others.
Trying to get accurate info from multiple sources is a task that requires effort. Every publication has bias. Every source has bias and limitations. Every talking head has some agenda. This isn’t necessarily bad but we should be aware of it. Become aware!
You Are Today Where Your Thoughts Have Brought You
Not all sources are equal. Who you listen to matters. You need to find the most reliable, reputable, proven sources and vet the info coming from them. Verify and you’ll be better off. Consider scientific research. We’ve been told ‘4 out of 5 doctors recommend.’
Who are these doctors? Who do they work for? What is their basis for comparison? What was the research? Are they paid for their decision? What is the profit motive? What did they actually say? Is that quote an accurate representation of anything at all?
Do we know? How can we? This is what we face. We either accept it without thinking or we seek truth. This is the basis of much of our news, political opinion and advertising. The boundaries between them are blurred and rely on and use similar tactics to influence us.
Tomorrow You Will Be Where Your Thoughts Take You
Much research is bad, tainted, poorly reported and may have political bias in publication. Not government bias, but that could be too. Not all good science gets published easily. There are many who have profit reasons to not publish it and make it known. $$$ rule.
Not truth. Sad, right? So, you have to read the studies to know what to look for and to recognize good from bad. Most scientific and educational journals require the author’s sources, footnotes to let the reader know where the material comes from. Look into these.
If you don’t check to see whether they are relevant, perhaps they aren’t. Get it? You must be responsible for your own education and the blinders you wear. Most of us defend blindly things that are incorrect but we don’t recognize we are doing that. We are.
You Can’t Escape The Effect Of Your Thoughts
Napoleon Hill pointed out having accurate information on which to make our decisions that govern our day to day life is critical. It’s not an easy task to get accurate info and we must labor to do so. That means few will. Don’t be one of the many who are misinformed.
It takes an intelligent person to realize we believe all manner of erroneous things and to do something to counteract our own bias. The true learner seeks to go outside and beyond what they already know and not merely confirm it to feel good about it. Do you?
YET, that IS what most people do. They confirm their own bias because they feel good, comfortable and not threatened. It is the easy way out. It’s also the reason most people don’t experience the levels of happiness or success they seek. Most people are stuck.
Thoughts Become Things – What You Focus On Expands
This because they use the wrong information to determine how and what to seek. Get it? Stop and start learning to examine your thinking process and the sources around you to get a clearer picture of what is really going on and what you need to do. It may not be what you presently think, but how will you know unless you bother to check it. Check it out. Do it. You’ll be far better off when you do. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“Very few are willing to get outside their comfort zone. Whether it’s ‘bad’ habits one needs to abandon or confirmation bias and living with blinders few are willing to stretch themselves to go beyond the boundaries they live within. Most aren’t. Are you?
Why is this? Foremost, it is unfamiliar. We don’t know how it will end if we change, so we fear it and respond anxiously. We think it means giving things up and we don’t want to lose anything. It is mentally and physically uncomfortable as we try to keep the status quo.
It requires courage and dedication. As we change, or face change, doubts, limiting beliefs and negative self-critical thoughts come up designed to keep us the same. The brain runs on what it already knows and seeks to remain consistent. It resists changing.
What We Want To Do With Ease We Must First Do With Diligence
That’s why dieting can seem like dying. It isn’t, but we ‘think’ it is. Changing any habit causes us to face our boundaries and provokes these fears and sensations. It’s a part of normal conditioning to experience these but we usually over dramatize them. We do!
We make bigger issues out of these than they are furthering the difficulty of getting out of our own way. We trick ourselves into staying the same. After all, we have practiced being the same for as long as we’ve lived. We don’t change much.
We can, but it requires effort. It is simple but not necessarily easy. It means making a commitment and seeing it through. Will power may not be enough, but we can trick ourselves into making it easier than we think it will be. We can find it can be fun to change if we’ll let go.
Energy Flows Where Attention Goes
Doing anything repeatedly, consistently, for a long enough period of time results in new habit formation. Doing anything CORRECTLY and positively repeatedly and consistently for long enough results in positive NEW habit formation. We’ve learned lots of bad habits.
Changing them means using the same process we used to acquire the bad ones, but now we do new things with awareness. Our original habits were acquired without realizing that’s what we were doing. To change, we consciously must decide to and follow through.
I developed Mind Design™ and the Attitude Activator™ for these very reasons: to help you make changes more easily and readily while enjoying the process. I help you go through the difficulty of facing change, the negativity, fear and doubts that limit you.
The Mind Is As Strong As Its Weakest Think
There are really only two ways to change. Through catastrophe or conditioning. When the bottom drops out on your world and all is lost IS when many people make changes or through conditioning. You can change anything when you do the right things habitually.
I’d like to help you learn to find the positive blessings in all things. Let me help you experience good times while you make important changes. You can feel differently about changing if you want to and it will become a far more comfortable powerful process for you.
Saying ‘yes I will’ is the first hurdle to get over but then you can discover so much joy and success by putting the right principles and practices to work. Learn the knack for making change easier. Wake up in gratitude instead of dreading the day? Greet the day with joy!
