“At the year end there are numerous holiday celebrations. There is Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and even more. There is the New Year celebration as well. I tend to say Happy Holidays and or Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Merry Christmas AND New Year too!
Sad, people make a fight over wishing people well. Before Christ and Christmas there were pagan holidays. Was Jesus’ birth important? For some very important. For others, not so much. I am not about debating the meaning of Christmas to those who care.
I am all for wishing all people of all faiths, ethnicities, gender preferences and whatever other categorizes we divide people into a wonderful year end. I am for wishing happiness, peace, love, blessings and good to everyone everywhere.
That we do it so infrequently, or that it’s become a political or religious battle to wish others well is sad! To everyone everywhere at all times: peace, much love and blessings! Show compassion. Have a delightful time wishing others well. Stop fighting about it and start loving more. Celebrate our agreements, and our differences. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
