It isn’t about closing the sale! That’s wrong to think. It’s about establishing such a marvelous relationship and adding so much value customers, clients and others seek you out. You don’t have to close when your mind, heart and offer are all aligned and in the right place.
I have always talked about knowing the difference between your goal in a sale and your overall purpose. You can listen to me discuss this from decades ago. One always needs to travel higher not lower. It is about the relationship NOT the close. A sale is a one time event.
People Are Your Greatest Resource – Take Care Of Them
The relationship can last forever if the other person knows you have their best interests in your heart. Not because you can match and mirror or entrance them with language and techniques, or anchor them to want something BUT BECAUSE you genuinely care.
When they know that you truly care for them and their best outcome THE SALE is made. Love and caring and the open demonstration of it goes further than any technique or sales and persuasion course. Be authentic, compassionate and interested.
Be likable and genuinely concerned for the well-being of others is what it is truly about. Programs that teach techniques for closing usually miss the larger point.
