“What can be said about enlightenment IS NOT enlightenment. The thing named is not the thing. So many people to day claim awakenings. It is popular to do BUT true awakening is simply that. Awakening. It is nothing to brag about. It is nothing to claim. It is most natural. Only the ego makes a big deal about awakening. If you are truly awakened so what? Think about this.
Do you walk around saying, ‘I am walking around.’ ‘I woke up this morning and I am awake.’ ‘Since my awakening I have noticed this.’ No, you don’t. So why do people think they must make a big deal about spiritual awakening. Your very nature, your authentic self is already awake, already enlightened. That is who you are prior to your conditioning. Stop claiming something natural.
The truly enlightened person performs many miracles. The person sleeps when sleepy and eats when hungry. The enlightened person drinks something when thirsty. Do you exclaim to others, ‘I am drinking water now. Since I am awakened I am eating and drinking. Soon I will sleep.’ No you do not. Not if you are sane, at least. The enlightened person lives quietly among others.

WHY? BECAUSE the enlightened person knows all others are enlightened too. Whether the others know it or not. There is no reason for anyone to point out they are enlightened, or awake, or eating or drinking. Since it is natural, live naturally not egotistically. By their fruits you will know them is good enough. You don’t need a banner or a tag line. Live simply. Enjoy life. Stop bragging.
So you do understand this is somewhat tongue in cheek. Instead of telling others you are awake tell them how much you love them and then really love them. Serve them. Give to them.
Allow them. Accept them. Be gentle with them. Support them. Encourage them. Sit silently with them. Listen. Do nothing. Notice. Nudge them. Appreciate them. Forgive them. Receive them. Release them.
