“When you’re at a buffet there’s lots to sample. LOTS! Maybe too much. AND you may stuff yourself by eating too much. Still, you eat your food bite after bite. You don’t swallow it whole. You eat in increments. Eventually you finish. You didn’t have to shove it all at once into your pie hole to finish but bite by bite, enjoying each you eventually finish. It is the same with you purpose and goals,
Take one small, positive step in the direction of your purpose or goal each day and you will get there. Don’t allow yourself to be sidetracked by distractions. Don’t miss a single day in the pursuit of your purpose and you will succeed. If you skip a day, it’s likely you’ll skip other days. Don’t break the chain. Keep your commitment. That is how people drift away from their goal. They cheat or skip.
They give in to a distraction and at some point, give up. Why because small steps can lead in the right or wrong direction. Consistent, correct, persistent mindset and actions are important. If you want to succeed each day, take one small step. Each day take at least one small action. If you commit to reading inspirational material each day and for some reason run out of time, read a page.
Read a sentence. But read. Don’t skip it and think you’ll do more or double tomorrow. Keep your commitment to today! Don’t blow it off. Reduce the amount you normally read but read. Read just a sentence. THAT is better than nothing. DO it. If you exercise, and you can’t then, take a walk instead. Stand while you watch television. Don’t skip a day! Get it. Take small steps leading to success.
Decide to take some small positive action to keep on track. Develop positive habits! Remember the most important thing to manage is your thoughts SO that you don’t think self-defeating thoughts. You don’t let your self-talk talk you out of good things. You don’t make things harder by thinking they are too tough. Manage your thinking and your actions will be the right actions. Make these good habits.
Successful people never let ‘things’ interfere with what’s important. When people cheat on their goals and skip a day thinking they will make it up, they usually don’t. It just gets easier to blow it off the next time. Then your excuses rule you instead of you ruling your thoughts, feelings, actions and habits. Blaming begins. What’s a blame or an excuse? They’re less-than-glorious thoughts!
You want to believe in yourself, not make excuses for not doing something only to blame yourself later. That’s a rabbit hole you don’t want to enter. Don’t succumb to the temptation. Find a way to do something, anything, that constitutes staying on track and moving forward. You will benefit greatly if you do this. You will maintain positive momentum and attitude. You will not let yourself down.
You can take pride in sticking with it. You will not have broken your commitment to yourself. That is a big deal! You honor and respect yourself! When people break their promise to themselves it whittles away at their commitment and their confidence. Each time adds more negative weight and makes it harder to stick at it. It becomes a slippery slope. They stop believing in themselves or that they can.
Never allow it in the first place. Stop the trickle before it becomes a flood. Stay on track and you will feel better. Even when obstacles arise. There are times when you won’t feel like it. Life happens but stay with it. Keep your commitment. Persevere! It takes mindset management to manage your thoughts, your feelings, your self-talk and speech, and your behaviors. Get this! Get this Get this!
It’s important to keep commitments in even the smallest way. Make your mind work for you. Devote yourself to developing a powerful, positive, optimistic attitude that’ll see you though. When you follow through no matter what, you keep your spirits up. When you keep going in spite of challenges, you realize you can, and you feel better as a result. Good things come from good feelings. Know this.
Your self-confidence grows stronger so your ability to succeed at more things grows. You start believing in yourself and your word AND when you believe in yourself and KEEP your word great things become possible! Don’t let yourself down and you’ll win! YOU can be, do and have anything you want, if you will stick with making it happen. Manage your mindset. Develop a champion’s mindset. Become a champion.
