Spread the love

“Anthropologists call us ‘meaning makers’ and ‘time binders’. We seek inside ourselves and outside ourselves for ‘something’ greater. We seek meaning and purpose. We have science, our own stories, philosophies, religions to inform us and comfort us. The longer I live and the more I experience the more I realize that being there for one another is what living is all about.

Few of us successfully live alone. Solitary confinement is considered a very cruel inhumane form of punishment. Why might this be? Because as a species we band together. From the earliest times of bands, tribes and groups we form ties and have worked, played, loved and moved together. What am I getting at with this? We are social creatures. We can’t live well without one another.

During the industrial revolution people left their clans, boroughs and neighborhoods traveling far to seek employment to fulfill their dreams in new neighborhoods. From one place to another they journeyed. When they landed in a new area, they formed new ties. As a result, cities grew larger. And as it did an interesting thing became obvious. We seek our own kind.

We group by race, religion, economics, politics and other factors. We ostracize some using these same factors. We include and exclude based on these. We gather, support and defend our group and territory based mostly on these mentally manufactured distinctions. They look like me then they’re part of my group. Those who look different are not allowed to become part of my group.

‘They think the same as me’; my group. They think otherwise, not my group. On and on. People categorize each other as part of the ‘in group’, or not. It’s unfortunate that we’ve not yet learned to get along and accommodate our differences. Sadly, it’s still the current way of the world. We must learn how to live together without prejudices. Stop looking for those reasons that separate us.

How about we seek harmony, acceptance and embrace our differences. We can move toward embracing everyone and become one people living in one world. We can learn to live like this even if there’s resistance to this notion from various mindsets. The world is still divided. It may be for some time or forever. My point is we band together. Like groups attract like groups.

We don’t live alone. We need each other. We seek each other out. We form ties. Since we need each other, one of the most powerful ways to create strong ties IS to assist each other living better. When we help each other, we grow closer. True, there are those in the world who don’t want to help. They want to own, to have and to protect what they claim is theirs and ostracize and blame others.

I get that. I don’t think that helps them live more wonderful lives, but I get their reasoning. I can empathize with their thinking and their potential fears. Fighting their logic won’t help us get along. We need to seek to understand. We need to create trust. We need to create a bond. We need to understand this notion. We need to believe and operate from ‘what we think about we bring about’.

The more we fear the more we must fear and become more fearful. The more we love and accept the more we must love and accept. We don’t get a more peaceful world by engaging in more wars. We have a more peaceful world when we all embrace being peaceful. It’s why we need to band together so we support each other and help others do better. Practice getting along. Create trust.

When we help another person learn to do something, overcome a difficulty or accomplish something important to them, we not only help THAT person, but we help ourselves too! We grow together independently. We make them feel better. We make ourselves feel better! Some religions are founded on and practice helping others. They believe in helping those like us and those unlike us.

Let’s practice and promote The Golden Rule. It’s one of the most important concepts and practices we can embrace. It’s an incredible and important practice to begin to understand and apply. ‘Do unto others as you would have others do unto you’. Treat others the way you prefer to be treated. Most of us, dare I say, all of us, want love, acceptance, kindness, life, liberty, happiness and good things.

We want connection. We want health, wealth and well-being. We want family and friends. We want meaning and a sense of significance.  We want to be liked. We want to be understood and loved. When we understand even our enemies are attempting to do this it creates a bridge to understand and help our enemies. We have a choice. Decide to get along regardless of differences, or don’t.

Through understanding and by benefiting each other we can stop being enemies because we’re different and we can begin to realize how much we have in common. WE can create trust and bonds that allow us to discover we’re pretty much the same, so let’s create harmony. We can do better than we’ve done. The future is open for us to create what we want. We shape what comes to us.

The future originates in our present. It’s now we must make the changes. We can make the world more loving, kind, compassionate and cooperative by being the change we want to see in the world. we become it first and spread it to others by our thoughts, words and actions. Allow, accept, respect and include others. Join in practicing the Golden Rule. expect the best of others, not the worst. Get it. Make the world the way we want it instead of allowing the worst to fester, create the best. Be filled with love and light and others can be too. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes

“If you can change your mind, you can change your life.” William James

“I’ll be blunt: I’m very disappointed that these secrets are available. I think buying this material should be treated like buying hand guns: You should have to fill out forms and get checked out first to see if you’ll use this wisdom for good or evil. I’ve NEVER seen such powerful techniques or insights. The average psychologist, cold reader, magician, or mentalist doesn’t know these “beyond secret” methods. You could start a cult with this! Far too powerful to be released publicly. Please take your Ultimate NLP Home Study Program package off the market—especially now that I own it.” –Joe Vitale –  Author, 2000

I am smiling and my heart is beating a little bit faster now, Rex. We go all the way back to the last century and me finding my way in many ways at that point. You helped me during that point because I learned NLP, and some of the communication material came from you. I was sitting at your feet and learning how to apply it in my life and career.

Freedom can be yours BUT if you do nothing, nothing changes!

You sent me cassettes Rex way back in the 1990s, and these were cassettes on communication and NLP. And we had exchanged some things and we had talked and you were very kind to me and very generous with me. I religiously listened to everything I am always studying, always growing, always working on myself and maybe even more intensely back then. Thank you Rex!Joe Vitale -Author, appeared in ‘The Secret’, 2022

“I give this course a massive thumbs up! And to put it into perspective I was already an NLP trainer when I came across this course some years back and I was blown away by the content in it and the way it is taught. Rex really knows his stuff and the content is amazing. But it! I mean every word.” Barry Neale – NLP trainer 2021

“My personal development journey took a turn for the better back in 1996 when I was fortunate enough to be trained and mentored by Rex Steven Sikes. It’s been my ongoing wish that Rex would put his personal and professional development insights, his unique accelerated learning techniques, and basic to advanced mindset strategies (what he’s rightfully termed Mind Design™) into a book. He’s finally done it and he’s held nothing back. Rex equips you with everything you need to live a more empowered life… He was the first person to really challenge me with the idea that to change my life, I had to change myself first. His concept of 100% Self-responsibility has served me so much in my life, it’s now the cornerstone of all my training and coaching as well. He states, “When you accept full responsibility for everything going on, you begin to access your inner strengths and power. When you accept responsibility your mind begins to look for solutions because you are responsible.” Bottom line: I’m a better coach, trainer, entrepreneur, husband, and parent because of Rex.”Joe Soto – International Marketing Coach

“I am beyond happy to call Rex Sikes my mentor and friend. (Yesterday he was was kind enough to be my Valentine’s too lol) seriously though. I’m so happy to have invested into his NLP home study course. Which he has taught many successful people in the past 40 years. Here’s a testimony from Joe Vitale from the movie the secret. If anyone is interested in joining the course. Please feel free to reach out to me.” Lynn Serrano – TV host, 2022
