“Success is the crossroad where luck and preparation meet. Actors know the value of rehearsing their lines and movements. Use your imagination to visualize it going the way you want. Rehearse it mentally. Walk it though. Correct, repeated practice leads to favorable outcomes. Stay focused on what you want. Run contingency plans in case it doesn’t go as you hope.
Imagine different scenarios where things go awry and how you stay resourceful, adjust get them back on track. If you only have one way of doing things you are limited. So, imagine at least three different options leading to your positive outcomes. The better you rehearse the more prepared you are. The better prepared the more likely the results you desire.
That’s why we have fire drills. So, you know what to do if and when an emergency occurs. You practice being prepared. To enjoy enduring success, one must travel in advance of the world. Rehearsal prepares you. The better and more you practice and rehearse the more you will be able to handle anything. You practice and develop flexibility. Practice deciding when pressured.

Learn to respond as EMTs do. They remain calm and collected and can do whatever is necessary in the moment it’s called for. They train to stay focused and in charge for those emergency moments. You can too. Train yourself to be prepared for trouble, but still expect the best. Develop your optimism and positivity. Mindset matters.
