“Alex Flynn is and was an incredible human being. He’s an example for the rest of us to live boldly with courage. I’m deeply saddened to learn of his passing. He lived his mission right up to the end. May he fare well on his new journey. Memorial information 12/15 below.

He’ll light up the heavens with his attitude and determination. Fare well my friend on your new journey. He died of a heart attack having reached the top of Mera Peak in Nepal during his quest to conquer Everest. He did actually die doing what he wanted to do Nov 8, 2021

He was a guest on my show. His mission was to climb Everest in the coming year to raise money and attention for the need to cure Parkinson’s Disease. While he has passed during his efforts to make that happen he spent many years shining the light on this disease.

He is an example for all of us. May his light continue to shine AND his efforts to eradicate Parkinson’s continue.

Here’s link to our All Things Rex discussion about his pursuit to raise money to help cure Parkinson’s Disease and his commitment to climb Mt Everest. Link below as well – copy and paste if you need to.

We understand that you may not be able to attend in person so we have arranged for the service to be streamed online however, there are limited ‘places’.

If you would like to virtually attend, please send your details to alex@alexflynn.co.uk by Friday 10 December and we will respond.

Dress code: trainers (and clothes obviously, but not black!)

We will be raising several glasses of whisky and indulging in his favourite chocolate brownie afterwards. We would welcome you to come and remember the good times and remember to laugh as this is all about him!

As yet we are still to confirm a venue, but felt we needed to update everybody now so a separate announcement will be made over the next week. #keepmoving
