“When you undertake brain training or for that matter learning anything new, the changes are temporary before they become permanent. That should seem obvious. Things pass from shortterm memory into longterm through repetition and time. Get it?

Your brain determines something should become permanent if it decides the experience is fascinating or captivating or novel enough. If the outcome of the new thinking, feeling, speaking behavior is important it will make it long-lasting without judging it. Get this!

That means whether the behavior or thought is good or bad. Whether the habit is good or bad. Your brain doesn’t determine whether something is good or not good for you. It just makes things permanent because the signal value is high enough. Understand!

That means YOU need to consciously determine the good you want to program so that is what you get. You take charge as much as possible to teach your brain what to do because otherwise it just does what it always has. If you want different, you need to instruct it.

You must understand your brain doesn’t care whether it’s positive or negative. It doesn’t get involved that way. You do. Your conscious mind does. That is the task of the conscious mind to choose and to direct. Also, much is based on ‘use it or lose it.’  This is important!

It’s as easy to program negative changes that get you poor results,  or make you forgetful or impair physical and mental abilities as it is to improve them. Actually, it may be easier because that is typically how people operate. They perform poorly so they continue to.

To perform better you must take control, teach it what you want, and do it correctly, repeatedly, for long enough. Your brain then gets it and starts making the positive habits you want. It gets easier. Then it becomes automatic and reliable as you master this skill.

Everything gets easier with proper practice and long enough rehearsal. Your ability to think and feel positive. You ability to manifest easily and swiftly gets better and you skyrocket your ability to create abundance and all manner of positive good.

This is good news because every time your brain reinforces a new neural connection on your road to mastering new learnings and skills, it weakens or lessens other connections of neurons that aren’t used at the time. Use it or lose it. It makes things better this way.

It erases some of the non-needed or interfering activity in the brain leaving you with what you want and need. When you move from one place to another you don’t forget the old address but you wire in the new one. You stop going to the old address. You go to the new one.

Your brain reduces distraction and noise so you can focus on the learning that is important to you. This is why you must focus on what you want rather than on what you do not want. When you do, your brain supports you in training it for wiser more positive uses.

BUT it won’t and can’t do this without your direction. It runs on as it was conditioned to in your early years. This is why I repeatedly implore you to learn how to make changes more easily. It is why I continue to share these principles and practices with you.

Lastly today, but there is more in upcoming blogs, your memory controls and even guides most of your learning. Your brain remembers the positive, good feeling attempts and eliminates or discards the ones which are not good enough. It tosses them out.

It remembers the good attempt, makes adjustments or corrections as necessary and helps you progress incrementally. Bit by bit you improve. Again, this is precisely why you need to repeat what you want to make permanent correctly, consistently for long enough.

You train your brain in creating good habits. Well, someone has to. I know you think it should just happen but it can’t happen as you hope given your prior conditioning. You need to fix that so it does what you want it to do instead of what it learned to do.
