“There are times when you simply feel bad. You are mad, or sad, or worried and you know why. You have a reason. Then there are times when you feel low, or down and out, for no reason you can determine. You don’t know why you are feeling what you feel.

What to do in either times? When it feels less than glorious and you catch yourself thinking about it, recognize it as a signal to shift your attention to the positive, the good, and what you want instead. Realize it is an opportunity and a message from yourself to you.

It is an alert message to notify you that you are thinking negatively somewhere, about something and it is causing you to feel badly. BUT the message is you can shift from that negativity by deliberately beginning to think positive. Affirm what you do want instead.

You Can’t Move Uphill Thinking Downhill Thoughts – Change

Ask your self positive Directed Questions™.  The less than glorious thoughts, words, and  feelings you have been feeling are there to remind you to put your attention elsewhere. They are the alert signal on your dashboard telling you, ‘hey, get gas or fill tire.’ Get it?

It is a self-maintenance system. It is a signal for your benefit. If you continue to think negatively you spiral down. However, when you catch it and shift to the positive you can change how you feel and spiral up. You move in baby steps from not so good to better.

From better you move to feeling better still. Eventually, you get to feeling good. You pulled yourself out of the mire. You moved incrementally in a direction from less than glorious to glorious,  step by step. Remember you eat an elephant bite by bite one at a time.

You Get What You Focus On – What You Focus On Expands

It is a process that serves you. The alert signals serve you. Be grateful you have a system that alerts you when something is amiss and needs correcting. Follow your inner guide.  Shift your focus from the less than glorious to the glorious, keep at it, and soon you will notice the difference. Be thankful. Learn to celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
