“After you have done yesterday’s exercises and have changed your feelings pick one. Move from less than glorious to glorious, get unstuck or find a time and place when you felt resourceful and on top of the world and use that. Find and relive that time. THEN imagine other times in the future when you might want to feel better, like this. again. You are going to paint your future with feelings.

What would be the triggering thought, event or person that might make you feel less-than-glorious? Run it in your imagination, see the triggering moment and then choose to feel better. Watch yourself change it from less than resourceful into feeling what you want to feel instead. Remember, the true power is in the feeling. It’s in the experience. It is not just the images.

The feelings are what is important. You can use the images and sounds, smells and perhaps tastes to accentuate the experience and the feelings. Imagine the scenario you just relived feeling the most wonderful or best feelings you are able. NOW, where and when and with whom would you like to feel like this again? FIND the times in the future and imagine feeling like this in those times.

Pick at least 3. 3 different times, or places, or people you’d like to be in or with and feel what you were just feeling. Get it? You are projecting your resourcefulness and positive thoughts and feelings into these future scenarios. You are ‘future pacing.’ You are planting the seeds for those future moments to feel the way you intend to instead of just feeling however you feel at that time.

You are now planning and programming the future. Run some of these scenarios or movies in your head. Pick another two or three situations in your life. Imagine yourself moving from less-than-glorious to glorious. Imagine from your point-of-view. NOT as a movie you see yourself in but see what you see through your eyes, hear through your ears and feel in your body. Experience it.

Feel it. See your surroundings, the other people as you would if you were actually there. Hear what you’d here. Feel the touches if there are any AND feel your internal feelings. Feel it. Understand this. You are using what your body and mind already do BUT purposely. You are learning to skillfully take charge of it and become more resourceful when you need to be more resourceful.

It’s another skill to be grateful for. You’re deciding to feel wonderful more of the time specifically. You are programming yourself to feel better more often. Learn to run your brain and make it work for you! Learn to take charge of your neurology to serve you. Create a positive habit of deciding to act on your own behalf and transform less-than-glorious moments to more glorious ones. Get it.

Use this at every opportunity. Even when you don’t need it. Get good at it. Practice this and you will be glad you did. You can use it anytime you want to feel better. Use it to get unstuck at any time. Since your mind and body already know what to do, all you have to do is steer it productively. The more you do this the easier and quicker it becomes. The easier it becomes the more you can do.

The more you make it a habit the more you will delight and surprise yourself. You’ll discover yourself more delighted and enjoying life overall. Correct, consistent repetition for long enough builds habits. These are two very powerful, positive, productive ways you can instantly turn a less-than-glorious moment or feelings into better ones. This will not do you any good unless you actually do it.

Remember, you can pretend it but you must engage these inner processes! Pretending is the beginning. The goal is to transform more of your moments into feeling good moments. It’s about experiencing it as real not as pretend. You get what you predominantly think and feel. When you are feeling wonderful and on top of the world your energy is high and more positive. Get this!

When you are living mostly in high-frequency positive energy you attract and create more of the same. You actually vibrate at a higher level. All good things can come to you when you live in gratitude. Why do you suppose this is? Because genuine expressed appreciation is one of the highest forms of energy. So make it a point to feel as good as you can any moment of the day.

Even if it’s not ecstatic the goal is to aim yourself into feeling better or as good as you can. YES, go for all the gusto you can! Keep in mind you want to feel the best you can. It’s not about plastering a fake greeting card smile on your face. When times are tough you can actually feel bigger than them. You can feel like a champion. You can feel positive and powerful or positive and peaceful.

You will be more resourceful. There may be times when you grieve or feel less-than-happy. These are true life moments too. Accept this. Allow. In these times, make it a point to feel better by feeling a little bit bette at a time. Baby steps are fine. That may seem to be all you can take. The goal is not to feel worse so don’t try to make too big a leap into feeling wonderful when you don’t feel it.

Stop. Take some deep breaths. Take a nap, a break, and a little later make a smaller move towards feeling better. Be gentle on yourself. Nurture. This is still making it work for you because you are gently aiming your energy in a more positive direction during times like this. Most of the time you can move forward into feeling incredible. Other times, don’t resist. Don’t push. Move forward gently.

Learn to be wise. Grow in wisdom. Be kind to yourself. Nurture yourself bit by bit. Don’t wallow and don’t force yourself to feel good. Inch it. Get that and get this. When every fiber of your being lives in a state of appreciation for whatever is going on, good and bad, because YOU KNOW that even during the bad times there are seeds of opportunity to discover, YOU are living well. Know this.

YOU are able to see opportunities you otherwise might not. When you feel incredible you attract and create more good things. Birds of a feather flock together. Like attracts like. You become what you think about. Do these things. If you haven’t already started, begin today. Have a wonderful fun-filled day! Make each day what you want it to be. If it falls short you still win because you set an intention. You live purposefully not haphazardly. Do it. Live purposefully instead of accidentally. Program yourself for more wonderful moments and you transform your life. Celebrate everything” Rex Sikes
