“How you get up in the morning determines how you spend the rest of your day. If you wake up joyously and grateful for your life, and all in it, you begin your day with eagerness and enthusiasm. You begin feeling good. That’s worlds apart from dragging your butt out.

If you don’t like waking up and greeting the day that is part of the problem. The good news is you can change it. You can become one who loves life and loves greeting the morning hours with glee. The more you wake up feeling wonderful the more your life transforms.

It may require getting a good night of sleep. In a previous blog I provided an article and some videos for doing that. Having a good bedtime routine helps you develop a good morning routine. A powerful practice is to journal what you are grateful for.

You Transform Your Life By Focusing On The Good In Your Life

Do that right before you go to sleep so your mind is on what you love, appreciate and are happy to include in your life. When you awaken you are more apt to begin the day with similar thoughts. You may have to, and can also, deliberately practice gratitude first thing.

Have a mantra you can exclaim upon rising. It’s a wonderful and powerful practice. ‘I love my life!’ or ‘This is the day the lord hath made. Rejoice and be glad in it!’  Affirm something wonderful the very first thing! Then think on what you are grateful for.

Pick the things you love, appreciate and enjoy. Then have a nice shower or bath. Perhaps, a little exercise. Treat yourself to a healthy nutritious breakfast and some clean fresh water. If you have time take a stroll. Sing a song. Shout affirmations. Dance or jog. Be alive!

Focus On What You Want And Love Not What You Don’t Have

Do those things that make you feel positive, happy and energized. The goal is to greet the day vibing high! The better you think the better you feel. The better you feel the better you think. The better you think and feel the better results you get. That is how it works!

Read some inspiring material and apply it. Listen to some inspiring audio in the car. Avoid the negative news and social media. Find some uplifting people to share thoughts with or morning beverages. Make the time you get up and morning routine positive and joyful.

Look for smiles. Expect the best. What you look for you tend to find. What you focus on expands. Speak only to bless, heal, prosper, inspire, motivate and transform. Drop gossip and complaining, blaming and excusing. Doing this will transform you and your life.
