“There’s no such thing as ego. It’s just a description of what we do. It’s not an entity. It’s a process. It has no identity, no reality. As a description it’s useful. Ego focuses on self. Without calling’ it’ ego, it’s just a focused process concerned with protecting ourselves.
Everything is about you. Very little about you is not concerned with maintaining the ‘who’ you think you are. We are conditioned growing up and through experiences to define ourselves. We fashion a story about who we are and what our life is about.
We are not the story, but we believe we are. We believe things that serve us and things that cause us pain and suffering. We adopt limitations and develop our own. This story of who we are, the beliefs we have, is a fiction we project into and onto everything.
All we do is projection. We project ourselves onto reality. We create circumstances, events and people to challenge and help us grow BUT we don’t realize we do this. Instead of being grateful, we whine, complain, blame self and others. We make excuses.
Some day we may realize who we are. Some day we may understand this game we play. Some day we may stop projecting our version of self, or ego, onto everything and accept our reality as the creator of the fiction. We’ll realize we are the authors of our experience.
Someday we’ll come to know we’re gods hiding within and behind our projection. We’re playing hide and seek. God is within but hidden behind our fears, worries, frustrations, anger, and our bias. God’s hidden where we least want to look. What a game we play!
Someday we’ll wake up to who and what we truly are. We’re not the mask we wear, not the story we believe and tell. We’re not our thoughts, feeling, body or behaviors. We are creators. We are consciousness. We are awareness. We are. One Is. There is no other.
We are love, compassion, creativity, intention and purpose. This is why everything that is, IS our creation. We don’t know this or believe this presently. One day we will. You will. We all will awaken at different times. Waking up IS the process. It IS the game. What a wonderful game it is. We play it so well. Enjoy the game. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
