“We all talk to ourselves, inside, sometimes out loud. What you say to yourself is important. Much of the time we are on automatic, running old previously conditioned, negative thoughts that affect how we feel and what we do or don’t do. 99.9% of the time. these thoughts run the show.

Any time you tell yourself something and respond to it as if it is fact you may be believing old worn out thought habits that are limiting you. If you think, ‘I can’t do it’, or ‘I suck at sales’, or ‘I’m a loser’, or ‘good things never happen to me’, or ‘there isn’t enough money’, you are conning yourself.

You need to stop and check it right away. Once you become aware you are telling yourself these less than glorious things you need to consider what you are not telling yourself. You are not telling yourself, ‘I can do it’, ‘I am good at sales’, ‘I am a winner’, good things happen to me’, ‘there is plenty’.

You Are Where Your Thoughts Take You 

Both possibilities exist. The question is which you choose to believe? Which do you choose to influence you? Which do you choose to operate from? Which makes you feel better and moves you forward towards being the person you want to be? Choose to think, see, speak and feel the opposite!

Doing this means, or requires, you need to monitor your self-talk. Pay attention to what you are saying to yourself. How do you know when you are thinking less than productive, glorious thoughts? You don’t feel so good. Your emotions or feelings or energy are the signal. So when down, notice it.

Change your thinking at that moment! Realize when you catch yourself thinking negatively that there is something you aren’t thinking about right now that would be better for you. Shift away from the negative. Choose the thoughts you’d prefer to think. Think those that inspire and motivate you. Get it? You have to take charge and steer your own thinking so it is positive and productive. When you do, you transform yourself. Celebrate everything!” Rex Sikes
