“Today I tweeted this message for a young man celebrating his 11th birthday. His mom asked people leave message because he has been terribly bullied at schools. I left this and more on twitter. You can too. His name is Kanon #kanonsbday. Send him a belated wish.
‘HAPPY HAPPY birthday young man. Enjoy your birthday and each and everyday. Every day is the best gift we could ever have, even if it doesn’t seem like it at times. There’s so much to discover and enjoy but sometimes it seems hidden. Sometimes it seems tough.
We grow in tough times. The kite rises highest against wind. Trees and plants grow stronger because of storms. Each day is opportunity to love, grow, enjoy and become better no matter what. Think positive. Develop the mindset and attitude of a champion.
Know that good is always present too. Look for the good. Stop letting the not so good best you. Instead you get the best of it when you rise high like the kite. Live, love, laugh and celebrate everything!’
I then followed up with this:
My children both were severely bullied in school. Now they are 19 & 22 & doing just fine. They got through it. You will too. Develop the mindset & attitude of a champion. Know that good is always present, too. Look for the good. Don’t let the not so good best you. Rise above
You get best of it when you rise high like the kite. You’ve much to look forward to. Hardship makes us stronger. Still, find good & enjoy. It’s there. Believe you can do incredible things & you will. You got this Kanon!! Live love laugh celebrate everything! Happy BD
My intent? Let him know I care and my kids made it through tough times. If they did, so can he. Focus on the good. The world is a wonderful place. You too can encourage this young man to have a great birthday. Many have already and I hope you will.
